Sorghum COMT mutant reduces lateral root formation and alters response to water limitation

The present study examined the effect of loss of function mutation in caffeic acid O-methyltransferase (COMT) on sorghum seedling root morphology and drought response. This study elucidates interactions between monolignol biosynthesis and water stress for modulating plant growth and developmental processes.
