This CD can run without installing any software on your computer, but does require a Web browser. Your viewing experience will be best if your computer has a recent Web Browser, Adobe Acrobat Reader and an Internet connection. Other viewing software may be required, depending on content. Tips on Viewing Media: This CD contains MPEG video files and a Microsoft Powerpoint file replayable on both Windows and Macintosh. You can enhance viewing of these MPEG video files by copying them from the CD to your hard disk. The MPEG (.mpg) files can be played not only from a Web browser, but also by using media viewing software such as Microsoft Windows Media Player and Apple Quicktime Player. If MPEG files do not play when you double-click on them, you can find download links to MPEG viewing software in the Help page on this CD. This CD offers an opportunity for you to actually explore undersea maps and data on your own with a variety of free GIS extensions, tools, data, and educational modules, developed specifically for oceanographic applications. These will be suitable for oceanographic work in a number of different areas.
