The larva of Chiromyza vittata Wiedemann (Diptera: Stratiomyidae)
The larva of Chiromyza vittata is described for the first time, based on 12 larvae and two puparia. Chiromyza larvae were collected in a coffee farm at Manhuacu, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Some biological notes are also presented. C. vittata is also compared with the Australian chiromyzine soldier-fly Inopus rubriceps.
