Fontes de matéria organica e fertilizacao química na formacao e producao de cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L.) em latossolo da regiao dos cerrados
During for consecutive years it was evaluated the effect of different sources of organic matter, associated or not with chemical fertilization, upon phenological characteristics and production of coffee plant. The sources of utilized organic matter were: stable manure, chicker manure, coffee plant straw, Humusite 310, castor-oil plant tart, peat and green fertilization with velvet bean (Mucuna atterrima Holand). The experiment was conducted at Rio Paranaíba (MG) Experimental Farm, in a soil classified as cerrado phase, dystrophic, Una Variant Latosol (Oxisol). The utilized cultivar was Red Catuaí, planted in 4 x 1 m spacement with one plant per pit, being adopted the randomized blocks as experimental design, with four replications. It was observed that the organic sources supplies the coffee plant during the first two years after the planting, with prominence for the stable manure and peat treatments. The good effect of peat was attributed to its higher water retention and the acidity correction performed in it. Since the third year after planting it was verified market effect of chemical fertilization upon the evaluated phenological data. The coffee plant had its production more than duplicated by the complementation of organic fertilization with chemical fertilization. The green fertilization with velvet bean was the worst treatment in practically all the pehonological data and also in relation to coffee plant production
