A chemotaxonomic study of Coffea arabica L

Pruebas para fenoles, taninos, flavonoides, esteroides y otros componentes, fueron hechos en C. arabica, 4 parientes putativos y un híbrido de C. liberica x C. eugenioides. La evaluación de datos, usando el coeficiente de similitud, indicó una relación cercana entre C. stenophylla y C. arabica y C. congensis (ambas). El híbrido probado resultó estar más cercano a C. arabica que cualquiera de sus especies progenitores. (Resúmenes de Café (Colombia) v. 14(6):2391. 1989)
