Coffee blight - a new disease of coffee in India
Coffee blight disease caused by Phoma costarricensis Echandi is reported for the first time from India. This disease mainly occurs on leaves of Coffea arabica L. resulting in heavy defoliation. Wet weather, high humidity, low temperature and wounds caused in the field probably by insects are the favourable factors for the development of the disease
