Glucosamine 6-phosphate formation by particulate preparations from coffee leaves
With the aim of studying the enzymic formation of glucosamine-6-phosphate in coffee plants, studies were made with particulate preparations obtained from coffee leaves. Glucosamine-6-phosphate was obtained by the direct phosphorylation of D-glucosamine with ATP and hexokinase or by the transfer of the amide nitrogen from L-glutamine to D-fructose-6-phosphate
