Efeito da uréia como suplemento protéico da casca do fruto do cacaueiro como volumoso exclusivo para vacas em lactacao

The effect of four mixtures of concentrates coupled with fresh cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) husk on the production and the fat content of milk was evaluated. The fresh husk, finely ground, was offered two times a day such that its daily consumption could be measured, and the concentrates were distributed in sufficient quantities to meet the nutritional demands of each animal and were replenished at the end of each period. The treatments were: A) shredded cassava + urea; B) wheat bran; C) 1:1 mixture of concentrate A + oil palm bran; and D) oil palm bran. Twelve stabled lactating cows were fed in a complete Switch Back experiment of 12 sequences: one cow per sequence and 3 weeks per period. The average daily production of milk of treatments A, B, C and D were respectively 6.8; 7.7; 6.7; and 7.5 liters, with no significant statistical differences among them.
