Acao do vento na disseminacao do mal-rosado do cacaueiro
The dissemination of Corticium salmonicolor basidiospores by wind was studied. Cylindrical rods (6 mm dia) installed vertically bellow and above the canopy shaded and non-shaded cacao plants were used. The effect of impaction (rod) and sedimentation (Slide) during spore trapping was studied using microscope slides placed horizontally beside the cacao canopy at half its height in the non-shaded trees near to the rods. The accumulated number of basidiospores captured in non-shaded area was greater than in shaded area and the number was also greater above than below the canopy. Sedimentation was better than impaction with respect to the total number of spores trapped as well as the efficiency of sampling.
