Planning for integrated management of water and related land resources in the Platte River basin of Nebraska

A study to prepare a comprehensive plan for integrated management of water and related land resources in the Platte River basin of Nebraska was urged by Nebraska, funded by the U.S. Water Resources Council, and conducted by the Missouri River Basin Commission (MRBC) during the period 1972-1975. The resulting plan has been adopted by the MRBC as part of its plan for water management in the Missouri River basin and by the State of Nebraska "as a planning guide". It has been useful to private, local, state, and federal water interests in the improving water management in the area But the plan could have been improved by including the entire hydrologic drainage are and by full participation of all water resource interests
