Evaluación inicial del sistema ñampí-maíz en un cultivo en callejones de Erythrina fusca y Calliandra calothyrsus con tres arreglos espaciales

The association of corn and ñampí with C. calothyrsus and E. fusca was studied with the purpose of evaluating the contribution of nutrients through pruning to determine the sustainability of the system at the long term. The treatments distributed in a complete randomized block design comprises the two tree species established at 6 m between rows and 0,5; 1 and 2 m between trees. A treatment without trees was included. The results did not demostrate differences in yields of corns and cormelos between the ñampí associated with trees and the monoculture; however, a slight superiority was observed of the ñampí associated with E. fusca, showing the adaptability of this tuber to the alley cropping system. Corn did not show statistical differences between treatments.
