IICA's contribution to Caribbean agriculture 2002-2004

IICA's contribution to Caribbean agricuture 2002-2004: leading change and institutional reform at IICA in support of Caribbean agriculture; implementation of a new structure based on an integrated management framework; development of a performance management results-based system, strengthening of the systems for corporate governance and management, reduction of bureaucracy; promotion of financial prudence and accountabilituy, promotion of basic principles and values, including flexibility, accountability, commitment, efficiency, tolerance and spirit of service; development of a new relationship with our member states, based on particpation, accountability and transparency; establichment of new human resources policies including a corde of ethical conduct; strengthened strategic partnerships; promotion of a new programme on trade, agribusiness and food safety based on the establishment of a new office in Miami, USA; establishment of a directorate for strartegic partnerships bases in our office in Washington, D.C.; support to Caribbean agricuture; IICA will build on on-going cooperation initiatives
