Plagas de vertebrados: control de la taltuza. Pragas de vertebrades: control do roedor silvestre (Orthogeomys spp.)
The pocket gopher, or taltuza, is a rodent that lives in underground tunnels, 30 species of which have been identified throughout North and Central America. The three species that have been found in Costa Rica (O. cavator, O. cherrei and O. underwoodi) are considered pests. In extreme cases, they may destroy from 80 to 100 per cent of a plantation. Control methods are discussed.
