MIRA, un sistema de manejo de información para el monitoreo del crecimiento de árboles en investigación forestal y agroforestal
The MIRA system manages data on climate, study sites, soils, forest species, seed sources, tree measurements, and the production of various forest products. The MIRA network of study plots and statistically designed experiments under a wide variety of climatic, edaphic and topographic conditions and management practices has made possible valuable silvicultural research and technology transfer. The MIRA system has provided the source data for numerous scientific publications, including growth and yield models for multi-purpose tree species. The system allows information storage and integration, to promote information interchange, and to create networks between researches, projects, companies, countries or regions.
