Project identification in small pelagic fisheries: Indonesia, India, Thailand, Morocco
The pre-investment studies described in this report are intended to assist in project identification in small pelagic fisheries, which have reached a suitable stage of technical development with FAO/DANIDA assistance. The studies are based on detailed technical analyses whose methods can be readily adapted to other small pelagic fisheries. In each case, the operational research leads directly to financial and economic analyses. The results of the analyses have led to recommendations for each project that would assist the development process. A further positive recommendation relates to the use of the methodology and the techniques in fisheries in other countries.
