First Record of the Louse Heterodoxus spiniger (Phthiraptera: Amblycera: Boopidae) Parasitizing Dogs in Uruguay
The louse Heterodoxus spiniger is reported parasitizing dogs for the first time in Uruguay, the report is in the city of Bella Union in Artigas County. Additionally we confirm the presence of Linognathus setosus since it was not documented bibliographically for the country. With this report are three species of lice found as parasites of dogs in Uruguay: Trichodectes canis, H. spiniger and L. setosus.
