Effect of daily mean air temperature on yield of beans
This work deals with the study of daily mean air temperature effect on yield of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). The yield was linearly correlated to daily mean air temperature for different periods in the crop cycle. The general correlation equation found was: Y = m (T - 21.7) + 1.213, where: Y = yield of grain (kg/ha), T = daily mean air temperature (°C) for a given period of a crop cycle, m = characteristic coefficient for she period. The best periods for yield forecasting were located between the 10th and the 40th day of the crop cycle. The daily mean rates of bean yield increase per 1°C elevation in daily mean air temperature, varied through the crop cycle, the higher values occuring in a 30-40 days period. The thermal threshold of yield has been 20°C daily mean air temperature for the first 50 days of cycle and 19°C for the whole cycle.

Estudou-se o efeito da temperatura média diária do ar sobre a produtividade do feijoeiro (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). A produtividade final mostrou-se correlacionada linearmente com a temperatura média diária do ar, em diferentes períodos do ciclo da cultura. Obteve-se uma equação geral do tipo; Y = m (T - 21,7) + 1.213 onde Y = produtividade (kg/ha); T = temperatura média diária do ar (°C) em dado período do ciclo da cultura; m = coeficiente característico do período. Os melhores períodos para a previsão da produtividade final situaram-se entre o 10° e o 40° dia do ciclo da cultura. As taxas médias diárias de acréscimo da produtividade do feijoeiro, por 1°C de aumento da temperatura média diária, variaram ao longo do ciclo da cultura, ocorrendo os maiores valores no período de 30 a 40 dias. O limiar térmico da produtividade foi de 20°C de temperatura média diária do ar, para os primeiros 50 dias do ciclo, e de 19°C, para o ciclo todo.
