Estimation of the zero-plan displacement, roughness length and aerodynamic resistance to water vapour exchange for a corn canopy for conditions of near neutral stability.
Zero-plane displacement, roughness length and aerodynamic resistance to water vapour exchange for conditions of near neutral stability were determined, using different profiles of wind speed above a corn canopy with a mean height of 2.80 m, during the tasselling period. The results showed a decrease for the roughness length and a increase in the zero-plane displacement with an increase of the wind speed between the intervals of 0.2 and 3.5 m s-1. In this condition the mean estimated value for the aerodynamic resistance to water vapour exchange was 0.19 s cm-1, very low if compared to the others.

Através de perfis de velocidade do vento acima de uma cultura de milho (Zea mays L), no estádio de pendoamento e com altura média das plantas de 2,80 m, determinou- se o deslocamento do plano-zero, o parâmetro de rugosidade e a resistência aerodinâmica à difusão de vapor d'água, em condição de estabilidade atmosférica próxima à neutralidade. Observou-se o decréscimo do parâmetro de rugosidade e o acréscimo do deslocamento do plano-zero com o aumento da velocidade do vento no intervalo de 0,2 a 3,5 m s-1. Nessas mesmas condições o valor médio estimado da resistência aerodinâmica à difusão de vapor d'água foi de 0,19 s cm-1', sendo, portanto, muito pequeno em relaçâo aos valores das outras resistências à transferência da água no sistema solo- planta- atmosfera.
