Riqueza del fitoplancton en el arroyo Calimayo (Tucumán, Argentina)

Mirande, V., 2006. ?Phytoplankton Richness in the Calimayo Stream (Tucumán, Argentina)?. Lilloa 43 (1-2). The aim of this paper was to contribute to taxonomical knowledge of phytoplankton species found in the Calimayo Stream (Tucumán, Argentina). So that, the information given in decade of 1990 was enlarged with this work because the species that were registered in situ and biossays are now properly described. A sampling was realized during low water period (July-October 1991) and qualitative samples were taken in two selective places, before and after to discharge of a paper factory. Studies carried out ?in situ? and bioassays showed 50 total phytoplanktonic species in this stream. Diatoms prevailed in the places of sampling and chlorophytes in the bioassays. Others groups found were cyanophytes, euglenophytes and rhodophytes. Hormidium scopulinum, Navicula seminulum, Phormidium ambiguum, P. valderiae f. maius y Trachelomonas volvocina are described for first time to Tucumán.
