Calyculogygas, nuevo género de Malváceas de Uruguay
The genus Calyculogygas nov. with the species C. uruguayensis nov. is described and illustrated. The genus is apparently related to Malvastrum (x = 6) but the 10 somatic chromosomes founded on Calyculogygas show a closer relationship with Sphaeralcea (x = 5).
