MORFOLOGIA POLÍNICA DAS ESPÉCIES DE HELIOTROPIUM L. (BORAGINACEAE) OCORRENTES EM PERNAMBUCO, BRASIL

RESUMOCom o objetivo de auxiliar na delimitação interespecífica de Heliotropiumforam estudados os grãos de pólen das espécies ocorrentes em Pernambuco,Brasil: H. angiospermum Murray, H. curassavicum L., H. elongatum(Lehm.) I.M. Johnst., H. indicum L., H. polyphyllum Lehm., H. procumbensMill. e H. ternatum Vahl. O material polínico foi acetolisado e analisado emmicroscópio óptico. Verificou-se que os grãos de pólen são médios (pequenossomente em H. ternatum), prolatos, subprolatos a prolato-esferoidais,tricolporados ou 6 a 8-heterocolpados. A ornamentação da exina apresenta-sepsilada, microrreticulada, levemente perfurada ou levemente escabrada.Diferenças na morfologia polínica foram observadas entre a maioria dasespécies. É fornecida uma chave de identificação baseada em caracteres damorfologia polínica. ABSTRACTThis work aims to contribute to the inter-specific delimitation of Pernambucanspecies of Heliotropium by a pollen morphology study. The species studiedwere H. angiospermum Murray, H. curassavicum L., H. elongatum (Lehm.)I.M. Johnst., H. indicum L., H. polyphyllum Lehm., H. procumbens Mill.and H. ternatum Vahl. The palynological samples were acetolyzed andanalyzed under a light microscope. It has been verified that pollen grains aremedium sized (small only in H. ternatum), prolate, subprolate to prolatespheroidal,tricolporate or 6 to 8-heterocolpate. The ornamentatation of theexine is psilate, microrreticulate, slightly perforated or slightly scabrous.Differences in the pollen morphology were observed among the most of thespecies and an identification key based on pollen morphology features ispresented.
