Determination of the ability of sheep farms to implement a quality management system Boyacá (Colombia)

Sheep production in Colombia has increasingly become a source of income potential generation for small farmers, however sheep breeders of region persist in traditional production methods that do not respond to the trends and demands of growing markets. This makes it necessary to have the ability to identify sheep farms to adopt a system of improvement that allows them to increase their competitiveness. Production units were characterized sheep-producing provinces of Boyacá, were identified and analyzed standards, protocols and codes of conduct applicable to the certification processes of sheep production were evaluated and prioritized according to the degree of applicability according to technological conditions. Subsequently a methodological guide for building the quality management system for sheep producers as a methodological tool to enhance the levels of safety and productivity to enter a certification process.

Competitividad Ingresos Certificación. Universidad del Cauca -Facultad de ciencias Agrarias 2014-07-01 info:eu-repo/semantics/article info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion application/pdf https://revistas.unicauca.edu.co/index.php/biotecnologia/article/view/326 Biotechnology in the Agricultural and Agroindustrial Sector; Vol. 12 No. 1 (2014): January to June; 170-177 Biotecnología en el Sector Agropecuario y Agroindustrial; Vol. 12 Núm. 1 (2014): Enero a Junio; 170-177 1909-9959 1692-3561 spa https://revistas.unicauca.edu.co/index.php/biotecnologia/article/view/326/521 /*ref*/FONSECA, J.A., MUÑOZ, N.A. y CLEVES, J.A.
