Sunflower silage as a forage alternative for the production of goat and cow milk
Sunflower is a crop native to Mexico, traditionally used for the production of oil, seeds and flowers; however, it can be used for feeding dairy cattle. Sunflower hay associated with chickpea and different percentages of sunflower silage inclusion in the feeding of goats and cows were evaluated, and it was found that sunflower in both presentations increases milk production and fat content.

El girasol es un cultivo originario de México, empleado tradicionalmente para la producción de aceite, semillas y flores, sin embargo, puede ser aprovechado para la alimentación de ganado lechero. Se evaluó el heno de girasol asociado con garbanzo y diferentes porcentajes de inclusión de ensilado de girasol en la alimentación de cabras y vacas, se encontró que el girasol en ambas presentaciones incrementa la producción de leche y contenido de grasa.
