An isolated species of the genus Liolaemus Wiegmann (Iguanidae, Lacertilia)

An isolated species of the genus Liolaemus Wiegmann (Iguanidae, Lacertilia)?. A new peruvian species, Liolaemus disjunctus is described. Its type locality is well off the known range of the genus, being in the province of La Libertad, while no Liolaemus is known north of the department of Junin. It belongs however to a northern group of species, most of them undescribed, the type of which is Liolaemus signifer (Duméril and Bibron).
