Structural causes of the northern wedging of the Precordillera

Structural causes of the northern wedging of the Precordillera?. The area under analysis, the extreme north of the geological province of Precordillera, has attracted attention due to the notable geological-structural changes observable on both sides of the axis constituted by the Valle Fértil fracturing front (Baldis et al., 1979). Said fracturing front, of a continental nature, is responsible for the uplift of the Sierra de Valle Fértil and its northern continuation, the structures of the Rajado and Bola hills and the Maz and Umango mountains, already in the area of interest of this report.
