Some interesting Boletales (Basidiomycota) from Quintana Roo, Mexico

Abstract Background Boletales are studied widely in temperate forest, but in tropical forest are little known. Objective The aim of this paper is to increase the knowledge of tropical Boletales from Mexico. Methods Mycological explorations were carried out between 2014 and 2017 in Quintana Roo state. All the specimens were herborized and deposited at mycological herbarium “José Castillo Tovar” of Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Victoria (ITCV). Results and conclusions Six species are described, and Phlebopus brasiliensis, Suillus decipiens, Scleroderma nitidum and Xerocomus coccolobae are new records from Quintana Roo. A key of species for Boletales occurring in Quintana Roo is provided.
