Expansion of the distribution of Nyctanassa violacea (Ardeidae: Aves) in Peru
The present work reports the expansion of the distribution of the Yellow-crowned Night-heron Nyctanassa violacea in Peru, in three coastal departments, between 2002 and 2010, as well the new nesting records. We analyze the possible causes of dispersion of the species in Peru.
