The Territorial Brand “Sabor Serrano” and the Agro-ecologically Based Family Agroindustry in Serra Catarinense (Brazil)

This article aims to analyze the main criteria for granting the territorial mark Sabor Serrano (MSS) by the Intermunicipal Consortium of Serra Catarinense (CISAMA), Santa Catarina (Brazil) and its relationship with the regulation of family agroindustry with an agroecological base. MSS is the result of an organization of more than a decade inserted in a context of inter-municipal cooperation, with the purpose of solving common problems related to the valorization of products from the family agroindustry. The methodological procedure adopted was the case study through bibliographical, documental and field research. The MSS is used by 70 agribusinesses, in 702 products, having as main criterion the sanitary norms, with great potential to articulate a joint process of recognition of agroecological and artisanal products, given that several precepts of these notions are already fulfilled.

El MSS es el resultado de una organización de más de una década insertada en un contexto de cooperación intermunicipal, con el propósito de resolver problemas comunes relacionados con la valorización de productos de la agroindustria familiar. El procedimiento metodológico adoptado fue el estudio de caso mediante investigación bibliográfica, documental y de campo. El MSS es utilizado por 70 agroindustrias, en 702 productos, teniendo como criterio principal las normas sanitarias, con gran potencial para articular un proceso conjunto de reconocimiento de productos agroecológicos y artesanales, dado que ya se cumplen varios preceptos de estas nociones. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os principais critérios de concessão da marca territorial Sabor Serrano (MSS) pelo Consórcio Intermunicipal da Serra Catarinense (CISAMA), Santa Catarina (Brasil), e sua relação com a regulamentação da agroindústria familiar de base agroecológica. A MSS é fruto de uma organização de mais de uma década inserida num contexto de cooperação intermunicipal, com propósito de resolver problemas comuns ligados à valorização de produtos da agroindústria familiar. O procedimento metodológico adotado foi o estudo de caso por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo. A MSS é utilizada por 70 agroindústrias, em 702 produtos, tendo como principal critério as normas sanitárias, com grande potencial de articular um processo conjunto de reconhecimento de produtos agroecológicos e artesanais, dado que diversos preceitos dessas noções já são cumpridos.
