Career education in secondary schools: a report on the 1979 Survey
Preparing young people for active life is the object of career education. This study describes the situation in New Zealand based on the analysis of responses to questionnaires addressed to schools, in order to find out the measures adopted to facilitate the transition between school and vocational training. The study addresses the programme contents, specific activities introduced (visits to corporations, internships, interviews, etc.) and the training of teaching personnel. The questionnaire used in 1979 concerning the introduction of such teaching on the secondary level is included in the appendix. (BULL 240/1)
