The educational system is described, stressing that the private sector plays an important role in education, especially at higher levels. Types of vocational, technical and nonformal education and training are shown. Although women predominate in traditional occupations, an increasing percentage are moving into technical fields. The structure of the labour force is represented by a series of tables, and is differentiated between rural and urban environments. National development plans with a particular accent on assistance to women are specified. The conclusion states that "it is only in the pattern of achievement and values where women differ slightly from men". Thus the report views the equality of men and women as a foreseeable objective for the future27 p., illus.Microfichemicrofichevolumehttps://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000167031engVocational trainingWomens employmentWomens educationGender division of labourWomen's participation in vocational training and jobs which are traditionally occupied by menbookconference_materialhttps://unesdoc.unesco.org/in/rest/api/getNoticeAttachment?noticeId=0000167031
