Organisation of training programme for method masters (a suggested model)
Models prepared by the Science Instruction Project in India to provide inservice teacher education and teacher improvement aimed at imparting primary school teachers and junior secondary school teachers with competence in two subjects. The Project is sponsored by the Government in conjunction with UNESCO and Unicef - The National Council for Educational Research and Training developed a 4-week programme design including syllabuses in physics, chemistry, biology, the use and maintenance of science equipment, the organization of field studies, lesson plans and sample lectures. Various approaches to teaching methods in science are discussed. Two questionnaires are included to ensure proper course evaluation.
