Selective inventory of educational inventing (Canada)

This selective inventory of educational innovations in Canada describes projects within the formal system as well as in nonformal education aiming at lifelong education - The inventory has been compiled in order to indicate developing countries those educational resources available in Canada which can be used as choices in building up their own learning system. A number of the projects were created to solve social problems. The inventory gives background, context and evolution of projects in fields like community development, adult education and teacher education. The emphasis is on individualized curriculum and self instructional programmes where the student determines his own schedule, time lapse and learning methods. Educational media are widely used. Problems encountered by the change agents are discussed and measures taken to remedy the situation are evaluated as well as the programme costs. The names and addresses of contact persons for further information are included.
