Four case studies are then presented, dealing with educational radio in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Tanzania and television by satellite in India. Four planning issues are discussed in the light of evidence from the case studies and other sources. These are the democratization of educational opportunities, the quality of instruction and learning, the impact of communication media on rural areas and participation of people in their own education. Concludes with five recommendations for educational planners.77 p.ElectronicMicrofichePaperonline resourcemicrofichevolumehttps://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000077103urn:ISBN:92-803-1081-xengUNESCO-IIEPFundamentals of educational planningPrincipes de la planification de l'éducationhttps://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000086694Mass mediaEducational planningEducational technologyCost benefit analysisDeveloping countriesEducational radioMathematics educationCommunity actionEducational televisionSatellite broadcastingEducational opportunitiesDemocratization of educationCommunication impactRural areasCase studiesNicaraguan Radio Mathematics ProjectSatellite Instructional Television Experiment (India)Radio Santa Maria (Dominican Republic)Communication media in education for low-income countries: implications for planningbookhttps://unesdoc.unesco.org/in/rest/api/getNoticeAttachment?noticeId=0000077103 |
