Relationship between the rate of implementation of the programme of work and the rate of payment of assessed contributions from Member States

Executive Board paper explaining the rationale for inclusion of the above requested agenda item by the Canadian authorities, which is to ensure that an opportunity is provided for the Board to be apprised in good time of the Director-General's most up-to-date forecast of the total amount of obligations already incurred under financial regulation 4.1, plus those intended to be incurred up to 31 December 1987, and the total amount of contributions from Member States expected to be paid up by the end of October and by the end of November 1987, in order that, if necessary, the question of appropriate remedial measures may be discussed
