Report by the Director-General on the results of the evaluation of the methods of operation of the International Bureau of Education
General Conference paper submitting an evaluation by A. Bruyère and V.S. Khorolski, consultants whose services were offered free of charge by France and the USSR, of the methods of operation of the IBE and the results achieved over the last two financial periods (i.e. 1984-1985 and 1986-1987), paying particular attention to the impact on the IBE's work-load of the frequency of conferences, in response to 23 C/Resolution 4.3, recalls IBE's origins, its integration within UNESCO, its resources, activities, achievements and problems encountered during the above periods in relation to the International Conference on Education, studies and publications, educational documentation and information and the international exhibition on education, encloses the text of the Agreement between UNESCO and the IBE, signed on 25 and 29 November 1968, effective from 1 January 1969, and the statutes of the IBE, adopted by 15 C/Resolution14.1
