The purpose of document was to draw the Committee’s attention to the material on which it could base its decision concerning the constitutive bodies dealing with human settlements at the regional.The first meeting of the Intergovernmental Regional Committee on Human Settlements was convened pursuant to the resolutions of Habitat1: 'United Nations Conference on Human Settlements, endorsed by -the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 32/162 and by the Conference of Ministers of the Economic Commission for Africa in its resolution 316(XIII)«
