Refocusing of ECA: Note by Mr. Carlos Lopes, Executive Secretary of ECA
This entails ECA putting ‘Africa First’ in all its work and also the recalibration of its programmes to take account of its comparative advantages. This approach requires that ECA i) strengthen the rigout and pertinence of the knowledge produced by the Commission to become an authoritative source of analytical insights into African development, ii) generate knowledge underpinned with robust statistics and iii) improve the packaging and communication of our knowledge products to core policy constituents.
