The beginning of the course on macroeconomic modeling for planners at IDEP

The African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) regularly offers in its portfolio of traditional training courses to meet the needs of African States members of the United Nations. As well, this May 7, 2018, IDEP has proceeded to the launch of the course on "the macroeconomic modeling for development planners." The economic development requires a rigorous planning but also an understanding of the mechanisms that govern the relations between the different sectors of the economy. Has this effect, macroeconomic models are good tools to highlight the interconnections between several sectors of the economy. In addition, they allow to highlight the exogenous shocks that may affect a given economy. The Course Director, Professor Adeola Adenikinju is come back concerning him on the assumptions and limitations of the macroeconomic models which are an capital aspect. He also mentioned that a difference would be made between the macroeconomic models and models developed using macro-econometric during the training program. The opening ceremony is completed after the tour of table during which participants are presented in turn.
