Sierra Leone repositions its trade for the AfCFTA
The government of Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) are holding a validation workshop on Sierra Leone’s National Trade Strategy: Repositioning Trade for the African Continental Free Trade Area. Experts from the public and private sector, representing government, civil society, young people, women and academia will meet on 4 February 2020 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The National Trade Strategy of Sierra Leone is anchored around implementing the AfCFTA as a means for repositioning Sierra Leone’s trade away from an overdependence on iron and other mining products, towards more diversified goods and services.
