The meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts for Science and Technology Development was held in Addis Ababa from 2 to 6 November 1981. The Committee stressed the need for urgent action to be taken in the development of national directories of African science and technology manpower resources including personnel at the technician level and appealed to African governments to make full use of such available resources.
