Report on the organization of the african tourism fair

"African Tourism Fair" which was submitted to the meeting of the Conference of African Ministers of Tourism. The objectives of the fair as follows: Present the African tourism product in its natural environment with all its diversities as well as its unifying aspects; Promote the creation of a tourism image for African regions and countries, in keeping with their authentic characteristic as well as in accordance with the image that African States themselves wish to promote; Promote intra-African concentration and co-operation in tourism, as well as improve the knowledge Africans have of their continent and available tourism resources and finally, facilitate the establishment of inter-State African circuits. The importance of the African tourism fair as an instrument for promoting African tourism product requires careful preparation. It is therefore necessary that not only should the selection criteria be clear and precise, Member States should also participate actively in such fairs, thereby showing the importance Africa attaches to the development of its vast tourism resources for the well being of its people.
