The last “Catalogue of map and chart received by the Centre “was published in September 1966.since then thanks to the generous contributions of African government and also of various institution outside the continent this collection has various has increased considerably and a new edition has become necessary. The present edition is divided into three parts similar to the previous one part I lists series covering the entire region or a great part therefore at scale 1:500, 000 and smaller part II list the maps on gazetteers maps catalogues and part III includes inter alia atlases gazetteers map catalogued report
