A study on the mechanisms and institutional framework for financing trade promotion in West Africa
This study forms part of the assistance of the Multinational programming and Operational Centre for West Africa (Niamey Mulpoc) in West African Economic Integration of which intra West African Trade and Multinational Finance constitutes an important segment. The study will be undertaken in two phases. The first phase will be a comprehensive analysis of the intra-West African Trade, production potential and capital formation. This is to be found in volume I of this report. The second phase will focus on the estimation of the resources gap, capital stocks, institutional mechanisms, financial viability, operational structures and policies of the proposed institutional mechanisms for Trade financing. Volume II of this report contains a very preliminary analysis of these issues.
