The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) today announced that it would collaborate with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) to launch the Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship programme to help prepare the next generation of outstanding African leaders by providing them with unique mentoring opportunities. The AfDB, UNECA, and WTO will each host an Ibrahim Fellow in their executive offices. The expectation is that Ibrahim Fellows will go on to play a major role in the governance and development of the African continent, according to the Information and Communication Service (ICS) of ECA, based on reports from the Foundation.
