OAU-Civil Society Conference: opening statement by K. Y. Amoako

This Opening Statement presented by K. Y. Amoako, Executive Secretary of ECA at the OAU-Civil Society Conference. Mr. Amoako, on his remarks highlighted that, since promulgating the Charter, we have held national consultations with civil society in nearly 20 countries, and we have held sub-regional and regional consultations, working with such organizations as the African forum for Voluntary Organizations, the Africa Leadership Forum and the Inter Africa Group.
