Welcoming Remarks by H.E. Mr. Gerald Ssendaula, Minister of Finance, Uganda at the Twenty-third Meeting of the Committee of Experts of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. Mr. Ssendaula, on his remarks outlined that, Africa needs to marshal all its efforts to negotiate the removal of such unfair trade practices. To succeed in this effort, there is a need for concerted negotiations with our trading partners in the developed world. The multilateral trading system is one such avenue for a negotiated settlement.
