The workshop on road maintenance information systems was organized by the Economic Commission for Africa in collaboration with Roy Jorgensen associate of USA a member of the international road federation and the government of the demographic republic of Ethiopia was held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia on November 1988 the Ethiopia transport construction authority organized for participants a post workshop field vist to the highway training center and central district maintenance headquarters at Alemgena on the outskirts(17) of the city on 9 November 1988
