Report sixth meeting of the coordinating committee on African statistical development (CASD)

The sixth meeting of the Coordinating Committee on African Statistical Development (CASD) took place at the Headquarters of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) on 8,9, 11 and 13 March 1996. On behalf of the Organisation and Management sub-committee, Mr Ching'anda added that they had met just prior to the 5th CASD meeting. They reported to CASD on the two main activities which were on-going: the review of the paper on Needs Assessments and Strategy Development, and the survey of Directors of African Statistical Offices.
