To participate in the preparatory meeting for the organization of the third African road safety congress : mission report
This paper focuses on mission report. The ECA and OECD are co-organizing the Third African Road Safety Congress to be held in Pretoria, South Africa from 14 to 17 April 1997 under the South African hospitality. The Congress is being organized to assess the implementation of the strategies and action plans developed during the second. African Road Safety Congress held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1989 and to assist member States in further developing their national road safety programmes taking cognisance of the multi-disciplinary nature of road safety and the need to adopt an integrated approach. The mission was undertaken to discuss with OECD the modalities for co-hosting the Congress.
