Implementation of resolutions of the fifth meeting of the Conference of African Ministers of Transport, Communications and Planning
In 1986 ECA organized a co-financing meeting in Pointe Noire, the Congo, for projects in the two transit corridors linking the land-locked countries of the Central African Republic and Chad to the ports of Douala and Pointe Noire. A full report was submitted to the tenth meeting of the Inter-Agency Co-ordinating Committee of UNTACDA (IACC) in February 1988 in Lome. The two co-financing meetings which had been scheduled to be held in Bujumbura and Ouagadougou in 1987 for projects in transit corridors of Eastern Africa and West Africa respectively, had unavoidably to be postponed to 1988.
